Travel Restrictions

 

Mileage Limitations:

Mile Marker permits ____ miles per day for our campervans. If you are interested in driving more miles than permitted, we offer additional mileage packages. If you do not purchase an additional mileage package and you exceed the daily mileage limit, you will be charged .50 per mile you are over.

 

Forbidden Destinations:

It is prohibited to bring your Mile Marker Campervan to Death Valley National park from June 1st through September 30th. The dust in the valley decays the campervans. Any travel to Mexico, Canada, or Alaska is not allowed. We also do not permit the use of our campervans at the Burning Man festival.

 

One-Way Trips:

We do not offer one-way trips. Our campervans must be picked up and dropped off at our location at the Denver International Airport, Breckenridge Location, or our Eagle County location

Road Restrictions

 

Off-Roading:

Off-roading with a Mile Marker Campervan is prohibited. This includes closed roads, closed trails, and 4×4 trails or tracks. If you break down in a restricted area, the renter is fully responsible for the towing and repair costs. If a 4×4 or extraction vehicle is needed, we will conclude that our campervan was taken on forbidden terrain and the renter is fully responsible for towing and repair costs. This includes the van’s alignment, shocks, and struts.

 

Unpaved Roads:

Unpaved roads are permitted but we recommend you use our “Should I Drive This Guide” when determining if a road is safe to drive on. Mile Marker’s rule of thumb is, if you are questioning it, you probably shouldn’t drive it.

Driver Requirements

 

Driver’s License:

All drivers must have a valid driver’s license that is valid through the time you are renting the campervan. All driver licenses must be present at the pick up of the van. International license holders will be required to purchase insurance collision coverage.

 

Minimum Age:

The minimum age of a driver is 21. Drivers that are 21-24 years old will need additional verification requirements for insurance. Listed drivers are the only people allowed to drive the campervan.

 

Drugs and Alcohol:

 “Consumption of drugs or alcohol while operating any vehicle is prohibited as is driving under the influence of alcohol, cannabis and impairing drugs(recreational or prescription)” From native CV

Deposits and Payment

 

Reserve the Van:

A $275 deposit is required to reserve a van. The full payment of the van is expected on the day you pick up the van, this will include the rental fee and security deposit.

 

What We Accept:

Mile Marker Campervans accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover Card. We do not accept debit cards, personal or Western Union checks.

 

Refund Policy:

There is no refund for early returns or late pick-ups.

 

Security Deposit:

Mile Marker Campervan’s security deposit is $1,000. The security deposit is held to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. You will receive a full refund of the security deposit unless there is damage inside or outside of the campervan.

Currency and Exchange Rates

 

Currency:

All transactions, fees, and prices are in the United States Dollar (USD)

 

Exchange Rates:

Mile Marker Campervans is NOT responsible for any change in exchange rates. Refunds given by Mile Marker Campervans might differ from the amount initially paid.

Taxes and Fees

 

Colorado Specific Fees:

“All Colorado rentals are subject to a $2 per day Colorado Rental Car fee (Colorado Road Safety Program) and a 3% city sales tax.” Exactly from Rocky Mountain Camper Vans

Accidents

 

Call Mile Marker Campervans:

If you are involved in an accident, call Mile Marker Campervans as soon as it is safe so we can assist you. Get the other party(s) license and insurance at the scene of the accident. Take photos of the accident.

 

File a Report:

Report all accidents, theft, or vandalism to the police as soon as you are aware of them. Mile Marker Campervans is NOT responsible for accidents caused by weather conditions or wildlife.

Mechanical Issues and Roadside Assistance

 

In House Mechanic:

Our in-house mechanics consistently maintain Mile Marker Campervans to ensure they are in the best shape when you hit the road.

 

Contact Us:

If you have a mechanical issue, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to get you up and running quickly.

 

Replacement Van:

Mile Marker will send a replacement vehicle when necessary and available. If we do not have a replacement van available, we will refund you for the remainder of the days on your trip and assist you in reaching your final destination.

Fuel Tank

 

Fuel Type:

Mile Marker Campervans take diesel fuel. Do not fill the tank with any other type of fuel. If you fill the tank with the incorrect fuel, you will be responsible for any costs that are endured while repairing the vehicle

 

Fuel Level:

Campervans are expected to be returned with the same amount of fuel it was picked up with. If the van is returned with the incorrect fuel level, the renter will be charged $5 per gallon and taken from the security deposit.

Renter Responsibility and Expectations

 

Fill the Tank:

The fuel tank should be returned at the correct level with the correct fuel (diesel).

 

Returning the Van:

The van should be returned in the same state it was picked up in. Renters are expected to remove trash, sweep the floors, clean up the stove, clean the dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans.  Failure to return the campervan in the expected condition will result in a deduction from the $1,000 security deposit.

 

Inclement Weather:

Drivers will be expected to protect the campervan from inclement weather. Read our guide here.

 

Windshield:

Renters are NOT responsible for windshield chips and cracks.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

 

Mile Marker Campervans reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the Terms & Conditions. The most current version of the Terms & Conditions will supersede all previous versions. Mile Marker Campervans suggests that you check the Terms & Conditions regularly.
